Ever since the brain drain began in India, the Parthasarathys and Subramaniams of Chennai, featured in the wanted lists of Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Apple.... to name a few. Greener pastures they saw, and millions of dollars they earned. The companies on their part gave them the best of working environment etc., etc.. But the Indian brains craved for something other than the dollars, environment and brains. Their own hometowns in their own motherland.

IT companies would benefit an overall cost of 30% -40% if their operations are located in Chennai, Vis-a-Vis other international cities.

TIDEL Park - house for complete IT solutions, home for the best talents

To quote a cliched but an apt phrase, TIDEL Park would be a dream come true for the IT industry .The thought of this park originated when just one question reverberated in the minds of the IT professionals and policy Makers - "if Silicon valley can, cant we?''. We can , was their universal answer. And that moment started the process of conceptualising and building one of the   best Information technology parks in Asia -TIDEL Park.

VSNL is putting in place for 'TIDEL Park' a 32MBPS optic fiber connectivity which will be linked to a dedicated earth station.

The software Technology Park of India[STPI] is putting up another earth station, while the Department of Telecommunications will put up an exclusive exchange for 'TIDEL'. That will take care of the entire "software corridor" upto Sholinganallur. That's the kind of facilities we are moving in here.

Several innovative concepts are also being dovetailed into this project like the 'owner-engineer concept'. Its operation and maintenance is going to be left to an International O and M Company.

Even as the inherent strengths of TIDCO and ELCOT have actualised a synergistic play in giving shape to 'TIDEL Park', the Tamil Nadu Government is going all out to promote this project in a big way.
